Do We Have It All Wrong About Anti Aging Supplements?

Possibly a great majority of people who are actually vehemently concerned about their health have taken some type of anti aging supplements at one point or another. Some people take them on a constant basis either once a day or possibly every eight hours.

The regular taking of anti aging supplements does reflect some of the common advice offered by many anti aging doctors, nutritionists and other medical practitioners that cover all types of supplements including prescription drugs and natural remedies. Throughout the centuries, medical professionals have advised patients to take medications at set times following certain patterns.

Following This Advice May Be Unhelpful

Although everyone wants to believe that the medical practitioner giving advice is offering the most helpful information, but following it may be the most unnatural and unhelpful way to be treating your body. In fact it may be counterproductive.

It is the contrivances of modern man and this creature’s effect upon the surrounding environment which has led to the suggestion that human beings should be taking anti aging supplements. Yet our ancestors lived lives that that were directed by eating whatever they could find food. They did not live by any type of normal eating pattern such as breakfast at seven, lunch at noon, topped off by an evening meal at six or seven.

Our ancestors spent most of their time hunting food. If that food just happened to be found in the early hours of the morning, the kill resulted in a good breakfast for the day. And, of course, if they found nothing the entire day, they didn’t eat.

Also, finding a particular good kill might dictate the desire, as well as the exercise, for consuming that entire animal eating to a great deal of excess making up for days of going without food with the thought of days ahead of doing the same.

Irregularity Was the Norm

Ancient man was adapted to living in quite the irregular manner. Through thousands of years of evolution, the human body developed techniques for dealing with the lack of food as well as finding ways to cope with periods when the body consumed an excessive amount.

This flies fast in opposition to what is typically thought of being the proper way to address eating habits in today’s modern society which is to do so in a regular manner. We ingest meals at set intervals which are actually in opposition to our natural disposition.

Taking Anti Aging Supplements

Therefore, regularity and simplicity can translate into aging whereas irregularity and complexity can be evident in and people lead active lives. And here’s where the concept of taking a regular anti-aging supplements comes to play.

There are specific concepts about when to take anti aging supplements and many of these can be referred to on an individual basis. This concept for taking anti aging supplements at irregular times is best suited to nutritional, vitamin, minerals and herbal remedies. It should not be recommended to take prescription anti aging supplements at anything other than the recommended times.

There are safety issues concerning prescription medications that are not applicable to natural anti aging supplements.
